  • 2 Place : JAL MAHAL (WATER PALACE)

    The Jal Mahal is an exquisite palace built in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. The palace stands bright with five floors, four of which remain underwater. Jal Mahal was built by Maharaja Madho Singh I to serve as a lodge for his duck hunting parties. The Mahal is a testament to the bond that was formed between the Rajputs and Mughal Empire. The architecture of the palace has the resemblance of both types of construction.

    It is built in a valley surrounded by Aravali hills and is located on the way to the Amer Fort at the bottom of Nahargarh hill.
